I've been diving in and out of these pages, savoring every passage and allowing Nelson's words to dialogue in my own thoughts as a coffee companion. There's lots of chewy bits of theory and moments of graceful epiphanies and heady ruminating. But what I remember most clearly is her description of her partner's drawing:
...two Popsicles are talking to each other. One accuses, "You're more interested in fantasy than reality." The other responds, "I'm interested in the reality of my fantasy." Both of the Popsicles are melting off their sticks. As we discuss fantasy and reality, we are unraveling to nothingness. I need another cup of coffee...
